ABOUT

Studio Ayaskan is a research-driven art & design studio founded by twin sisters Begum and Bike Ayaskan in 2016, following their Master's Degree at the Royal College of Art. They established the studio with the aim to explore and blur the boundaries between disciplines. With a conceptual approach the practice merges the experimental and poetic use of materials, technologies and nature’s forces in order to explore connections between nature, time, objects and spaces. The studio’s works span from products to spaces; including installations, artworks and design research.

Studio Ayaskan, is an alumni of the Designer’s in Residence program at the Design Museum in London. Their work has won the 2016 Lexus Design Awards, the Design Council’s Spark Innovation Fund, and has been widely published in internationally renowned press including Icon Magazine, New York Times, Blueprint, Financial Times, Wallpaper and Dezeen.
